NewView 9000 optical profilometer

Optical profilometers from leading manufacturer Zygo's NewView 9000 series are powerful next-generation interferometric systems with Zygo's patented Coherence Scanning Interferometer (Zygo CSI) technology. Zygo CSI combines the advantages of conventional CSI mode (also called White light vertical scanning interferometry) with Phase ShiftingInterferometry(PSI) to enable extremely accurate and fast measurements on a wide range of surfaces - from super smooth to very rough, from polished mirror surfaces to transparent (glass and plastic) to matte black hockey pucks.

By combining these methods, measurements can be made on transparent and non-transparent materials such as metals, glass, polymers, ceramics, as well as organic materials. For example, transparent multilayers, rough and highly polished reflective metal layers, and more can be measured without the need to select a measurement mode.

Software Mx

Mx řídící a analytický software

Zygo's comprehensive Mx software for profilometer control, data acquisition and subsequent analysis. The programmable environment allows the software and its interface to be optimized as required. The main advantages of the software are:

  • Smart setup for automatic surface discovery and automatic setting of measurement conditions.
  • Integrated SPC statistics
  • Interactive 3D maps with zoom, reorientation and other editing options
  • Flexible analysis with a wide range of quantification options, application of filtering functions

Outputs can be operated with tolerance settings in accordance with manufacturing standards, making routine measurements easier and faster.

Lenses

The measurement possibilities of optical profilometers depend on the lenses used. The lenses determine the magnification, working distance, tilt angle and field of view of the profilometer (not the resolution in the Z-axis direction, which is constant). Choosing the right lens is very important to achieve the measurement objectives.

Zygo offers a wide selection of high performance standard lenses in compact designs with magnifications from 1.4x to special ZWF lenses and lenses with up to 100x magnification and numerical apertures up to 0.85. In addition, the total optical magnification can be combined with additional zoom lenses.
