Safety

A protective enclosure for Class 4 laser equipment that complies with the ČSN EN 60825-4 standard for laser safety covers.

Transparent windows

Areas where the operator needs to visually monitor the process are fitted with a safety window with a certified laser filter.

Expansion of electronic security

If multiple lasers or entry points are used in the enclosure, we can extend the interlock circuit. For improved security, a magnetic lock can also be added to the door.

Clean dust-free environment

At OptiXs we also offer Spetec flow modules for enclosures that provide a dust-free workplace and we design Cleanroom spaces – the module can be fitted to your enclosure.

Product Description

Here we present the standard model of our laser enclosure. The structure measuring 3 × 2 meters with a height of 2.5 meters offers a professional solution for creating a fully isolated and certified workspace in accordance with the ČSN EN 60825-4 and 60825-1 safety standards. It is designed to provide protection from scattered radiation in high‑power systems such as CO₂ lasers like the Coherent Diamond J‑1000 or Coherent Compact Evolution used for laser welding of plastics. The enclosure allows you to convert the surrounding space in a hall or laboratory into a safe workplace where personnel can work without the need to wear protective eyewear or observe special safety zones.

The enclosure is constructed from aluminum profiles and sheets with a matte black finish that ensures absorption. Easy access for operators and material delivery is provided by wide double‑wing doors. The entire system is designed to be modular, so even the basic version includes variable openings for cabling, cooling hoses, or process inputs, which we prepare precisely according to your equipment specifications.

As part of the openings for electronics, we also install our own LED lighting. You can choose the temperature and intensity of the lighting based on the needs of your operation.

A key element of the enclosure is the integrated electronic security system and interlock circuit, which guarantees the automatic shutdown of the laser source on any unauthorized opening of the doors. The safety circuit is supplemented with an emergency stop button and a warning beacon, providing immediate visual status monitoring of the workspace.

In addition to design and manufacturing, we provide complete on-site installation at the customer and, if desired, a final safety audit. For specific requirements, the enclosure can be further expanded with certified laser windows, filtration units for Cleanroom dust-free spaces, or forced ventilation for the extraction of process emissions.

Buying the enclosure doesn't end our cooperation – our team will ensure complete installation of the enclosure directly in your laboratory, including connection and testing of the safety electronics.

Additional Services

Final workplace audit We offer a post-installation review and audit to confirm that the enclosure performs its function and that the entire setup at your facility complies with the safety standards of ČSN EN 60825-1 and ČSN EN 60825-4.

Applications

Robotic welding and cutting A safe perimeter for robotic arms during laser welding of plastics, soldering, or cutting of metallic and non‑metallic parts.
Stationary laser cleaning An enclosed workspace for removing rust, paint and grease from large parts (e.g. molds, engines). The enclosure prevents glare in the surroundings and effectively concentrates extraction of fumes and dust.
