The LifeSpec II from Edinburgh Instruments is a compact, fully integrated and high-performance spectrometer for fluorescence lifetime measurements using the Time Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) method. It is designed to be compatible with all modern high repetition rate pulsed light sources (picosecond LEDs and lasers, supercontinuum tunable lasers, femtosecond Ti:sapphire lasers).
Key features
- Measurement of fluorescence lifetime on a time scale of 5 ps - 50 µs (dependent on the choice of laser and detector)
- Spectral range up to 200-2000 nm (specific range depending on the selected photodetector)
- Dual monochromator in a subtractive arrangement ensuring zero time dispersion
- Possibility to connect two emission detectors simultaneously (easy extension into the NIR region)
- Compatibility with all modern pulsed light sources with high repetition rate
- Integrated electronics, can be operated on a laptop or tablet
- Compactness and flexibility
- Easy to use
