Optical lenses for laser applications are characterized by high surface quality, high damage threshold, low absorption and low scattering.
Our main supplier of optics is Thorlabs, but we can also supply optical elements from other manufacturers if required.
Lenses are available in a variety of materials suitable for UV, VIS and IR regions with the option of applying anti-reflective coatings (in the range 193 to 2200nm).
- BK7 optical glass
- Synthetic fused silica glass
- Sapphire
- Calcium fluoride
- Magnesium fluoride
- Zinc selenide
- Zerodur
A wide selection of anti-reflective coatings (AR coating), including the possibility of custom manufacturing.
Spherical lenses
- Plano-convex lenses
- Bi-convex lenses
- Plano-concave lenses
- Bi-concave lenses
- Aspheric lenses - lenses suitable for applications where high light transmission through the system is required
- Menisci - lenses with one convex and one concave surface, used e.g. to change the focal length of another lens.
- Spherical lenses - lenses ideal for fiber-to-fiber or diode laser-to-fiber coupling.
- Gradient lenses - lenses made from a material with a radial refractive index gradient, again suitable for fibre applications
Cylindrical lenses
Lenses used for applications where magnification/reduction in only one direction is to be achieved.
Compound lenses
Combination of two or more elements to achieve certain properties e.g. removal of chromatic aberration (achromatic doublet etc.).
