COCHERE HARMONICA

Koheras HARMONIK from NKT Photonics is a series of powerful fiber lasers characterized by an extremely narrow spectral line and very low noise characteristic. The HARMONIK system combines the ADJUSTIK series with a high-power fiber amplifier and a new wavelength-to-second harmonic conversion module to reach wavelengths in the visible and near-UV region. The very robust compact design and high durability allow the lasers to be used even in harsh working conditions.

Optional features

  • PM output: the output of the Koheras fiber laser is single mode as standard, which can be extended with a PM output, i.e. a polarization-maintaining output fiber that ensures a fixed polarization orientation. This may be required whenever the laser output needs to be externally modulated or frequency converted.
  • Temperature Frequency Tuning: Koheras lasers are equipped with a basic output frequency (wavelength) temperature tuning capability, allowing the laser to be stabilized to specific wavelengths within the available range.
  • This feature can be useful for applications requiring higher wavelength stability than that provided by a free-running laser. The feature allows the output wavelength of the laser to be "locked" to an external reference source such as an atomic transition level or interferometer, for example. Tuning is handled by a piezo element.
