Incubators are systems designed to control temperature (heating and cooling), humidity and CO2-O2 concentration. Incubators mounted on a microscope and control of these factors is essential for live cell imaging, especially when biological samples are analyzed over a long period of time (timelapse) and need to be kept alive for that period of time
The dictionary display mounted on the microscope provides the user with the ability to control temperature, humidity and CO2-O2 concentration. Control of these factors is essential for live cell imaging. Especially when dealing with longer experiments(timelapse) where it is necessary to keep cells alive for up to several hours. The fully equipped "cage" incubators of the Bold Line series from Okolab consist of a stable frame with interchangeable panels that isolates the microscope section and the working area around the sample - temperature control. Also included is an incubation chamber located directly on the positioning stage, which ensures that the exact CO2-O2 and humidity concentration is maintained in the immediate vicinity of the sample.
Key Features
- Compatible with microscopes of all sizes
- Very stable conditions even for longer timelapse experiments
- Two levels oftemperature control in the incubator
- Control of the intensity of the warm air flow in the incubator
- The module responsible for the humidity of the environment does not create vibrations
Temperature monitoring takes place in a reference vessel filled with water or medium, located as close as possible to the sample. And also directly in the incubator where the air temperature is measured. Due to the isolation of the microscope part from the external environment , it is not necessary to use a separate heating of the objectives. For better orientation, Okolab cage incubators contain a built-in LED-based light source controlled by a foot pedal. Option to add opaque panels for ambient light sensitive applications (see picture).
