Incubators are systems designed to control temperature (heating and cooling), humidity and CO2-O2 concentration. Incubators mounted on a microscope and controlling these factors is essential for live cellimaging, especially when biological samples are analysed over a long period of time (timelapse) and need to be kept alive for this period of time.
