Edinburgh Instruments ' HPL(High repetition rate/High power Pulsed Lasers) series pulsed laser diodes in standard mode provide optical pulses with time widths below 150 ps, making them a suitable light source for fast fluorescence measurements. In addition, they can operate in the so-called HP (High Power) mode, which is designed for experiments that require higher excitation energy. The HP mode offers an average power of a few mW while maintaining sub-nanosecond pulse widths. These diodes are optimized for time-resolved luminescence measurements using the TCSPC(Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting) method.
Although they are designed to be compatible with Edinburgh Instruments spectrometers ( FLS1000, FS5 and LifeSpec II fluorimeters), they can be incorporated into any experiment due to their external switching capability.
