EOS pump-probe spectrometer

The EOS broadband TA(Transient Absorption) spectrometer from Ultrafast Systems is designed for transient absorption measurements on the (sub-)nanosecond and microsecond time scales. It uses a pump-probe excitation method to study the dynamics of photoinduced processes.

EOS has a built-in photonic crystal fiber-based supercontinuum generator whose output is used as a broad-spectrum probing beam (350-2400 nm, pulse width < 1 ns). The spectrometer is compatible with most pulsed laser sources with a repetition rate of 100 Hz to 1 kHz (OPO, OPA, Nd:YAG lasers).

  • Compatible with most pulsed laser sources with a repetition rate of 100-1000 Hz
  • Achievable time resolution ~ 500 ps
  • Electronic control of delay between excitation and probe pulse (no delay path required)
  • Separate box for all electronics and detectors
  • Intuitive software for instrument control and measured data analysis
  • Broad-spectrum probing beam (350-2400 nm, pulse width < 1 ns)
  • Time window 400 µs (at 1 kHz repetition rate)
  • Continuous monitoring of probe beam intensity fluctuations using a reference arm
  • High-speed multichannel detectors
  • Possibility of future system expansion to femtosecond time resolution
