The particle size analyzers from CPS, which is represented in Europe by LOT Quantum Design, use a differential sedimentation method in a centrifugal field that allows them to measure much smaller particles than conventional gravity field sedimentation. Depending on the type of sample and model used, they are able to detect particles ranging in size from 3 nm to 100 um.
Key features
- Measurement of particles in the size range 3 nm - 100 μm
- Use of sedimentation in a centrifugal field
- High resolution (typically 2%)
- High accuracy (typically 0.25%)
- Comparison with a known calibration standard
- Rotational frequency up to 24000 min-1
- Excellent repeatability (typically 0.5%)
- Measurements in almost all types of liquids
- Module for measuring low density particles
- Ability to measure samples with a wide size distribution (dynamic range up to 1000)
