Spider is a compact and reliable tool for complete spectral and temporal characterization of femtosecond pulses. The spectral blur and phase measurement is based on the SPIDER (Spectral Phase Interferometry for Direct Electirc-field Reconstruction) principle and uses an up-conversion crystal. Several models are available within the series, differing in parameters.
The Spider FC (Few Cycle) is for measuring pulses with a length < 5 fs and spectral width > 200 nm. The instrument uses a non-drifting etalon interferometer and a crystal made of dispersion stretching material. The FC Spider is suitable for optimizing and monitoring broadband Ti:Sapphire oscillators and amplifiers with bandwidths greater than 30 nm. It is offered in VIS, NIR or IR versions.
Spider IR (Infrared) is designed to measure narrowband lasers in the region around 1000 nm and above. Capable of measuring pulses > 30 fs and bandwidths < 50 nm, it is particularly suitable for IR fiber femto or picosecond lasers and amplifiers.
