SLS 200 CL

The Coherent SLS200 CL is a materials processing subsystem that includes a pulsed Nd:YAG laser pumped by a flash lamp, beam transfer fiber, control electronics and software. In conjunction with the Coherent LLBK process head, it enables high-precision spot and seam welding of thin, brittle or heat-sensitive metals, including brittle or high-carbon steels and biocompatible materials such as titanium and nitinol.

This particular type of laser offers unparalleled power control for precise process optimization over an extremely large dynamic range as well as production consistency. It provides long-term operational stability over its entire lifetime.

The SLS 200 CL laser is available with power outputs from 10 to 300 W with 1 or 6 optical outputs.

Key Features

  • Stable output, tunable from 1% to 100%
  • High pulse-to-pulse stability for process consistency
  • Minimal volume heating for welding thin or heat-sensitive materials
  • Large gap bridging reduces the need for assembly
  • Supports time and energy sharing of up to six filaments
  • Compact packaging for easy integration
  • FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approved laser for medical device manufacturing
