It is a true confocal system with an adjustable motorized slit and multi-position adjustable pinhole for higher image resolution, better fluorescence suppression and overall application optimization. It is based on the previous model, the RM5 confocal Raman microscope.
The RMS1000 includes up to 5 integrated, computer controlled narrowband lasers with the ability to connect severaladditional external lasers. Pulsed lasers, either integrated directly into the system or connected externally, can also be used for fluorescence lifetime measurements (FLIM) and advanced Raman measurements.
The system includes up to two spectrographs, each with a 5 position carousel for diffraction gratings for the highest possible spectral resolution (from < 0.1 cm-1, coverage 5 cm-1 - 30,000 cm-1), suitable gratings are supplied with each laser.
Up to 4 detectors can be installed - high efficiency TE-cooled CCD, EMCCD, InGaAs and others.
Of course, integrated internal standards and auto-calibration procedures are provided to ensure the highest quality of acquired data, as well as the powerful Ramacle software package for complete system control, data acquisition and subsequent analysis. A major advantage for RMS1000 users is access to the KnowItAll Raman Identification Pro spectral library, which is available for material identification and advanced analysis.
Data acquisition methods such as single measurements, multiple and accumulated scans, kinetic scans and map generation (1D, 2D and 3D mapping depending on accessories) are implemented with intuitive and user-friendly wizards.
