Edinburgh Instruments is continually expanding its range of accessories for its modular systems.
There are now more than 15 different sample chambers for the FS5 spectrometer, each of which operates as a separate module and the control software can recognise which chamber is currently inside the spectrometer.

Edinburgh Instruments has recently introduced a thin film holder, designated SCA-07 (Figure 3), which can be easily placed in the SC-05 base sample chamber, making it capable of measuring solid-state samples as well. The SC-05 module combined with the SCA-07 holder provides a lower cost alternative to the SC-10 module (see table).
For less than 15,000,- CZK you can expand the basic chamber without having to buy another separate module.
