Last December we successfully installed a confocal microscope for live cell imaging and photostimulation - Andor Dragonfly - at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the CAS in Prague. The microscope is located in thelight microscopy service laboratory, which is part of the Czech-BioImaging research infrastructure . This is the first implementation of this revolutionary technology in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The introduction of fast confocal imaging technology using the rotating disktechnique , which the Dragonfly microscope uses, significantly expands the possibilities of the users of the service laboratory, especially in the field of imaging living cells or organisms in the embryonic state of development.
