Thanks and wishes for the New Year

Dear customers, partners and friends,

This year is coming to an end perhaps even faster than usual.

It was a successful year for Optixs: we processed more than 700 orders and our team has grown to 12 permanent employees. Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to the next challenges in the field of laser and instrument technology.

We would like to share with you a selection of highlights from the past year: on and off the job.

What did we do in 2019?

Interesting installations in 2019

CEITEC, Tunable femtosecond laser source

Tunable femtosecond 40 W Monaco fiber laser with OperA-F parametric amplifier, Pulse Compressor. The assembly is spectrally tunable in the 650-900 nm and 1200-2500 nm range.

The assembly is used for ultrafast pump-probe experiments, specifically measuring magneto-optical phenomena in micro and nanostructures with time resolution in the order of femtoseconds with the possibility of changing the photon energy in the UV-IR range

UK FAF, Fluorescence spectrometer

The FLS1000 modular photoluminescence spectrometer with dual monochromators and a set of lasers allowing operation in continuous- and pulsed-mode. In addition to measuring steady-state luminescence spectra, this highly sensitive instrument can also monitor fl uorescence and phosphorescence lifetimes. The system includes a hybrid detector for measuring fast processes with lifetimes from 10 ps and a thermoelectrically-cooled NIR photomultiplier for measuring singlet oxygen phosphorescence.

ELI, Optical Table Assembly

Set of 8 optical tables. The base part consists of four connected tables which form one rigid plane over a length of 8 m with a deviation from flatness of +/-0,13 mm. This is achieved by a unique system of joining the tables.

Shared experiences

Hiking trip

In the spring we conquered the hills and valleys of the Highlands. To make it not so easy, we also took family members on our shoulders.

Bobsleigh track

In the summer we wanted to cool down a bit, so we went to the bobsled track. We were a bit surprised that there was no sign of snow and ice.

Rafts

As part of the team building and individual hardening, we managed to take a dip in the Vltava river channel in Stromovka at the end of September. Let's just say that the water was not the warmest. We paddled all the faster to warm up.
