NKT Photonics has upgraded a version of its compact white (Supercontinuum) laser, the WhiteLase Micro. The new version runs at a higher repetition rate and, more importantly, shifts spectrally into the blue region where it emits from a wavelength of 400nm. This model thus expands the base of affordable supercontinuum lasers that cover the entire visible region.
