VFA+ takes advantage of Fizeau interferometry and precision positioning combined with effective vibration damping. It thus provides a flexible and precise metrology platform that is ideal not only for measuring axisymmetric aspheres using standard transmission spherical optics, but also for measuring asymmetric and free-form optics using CGH (including dedicated hologram holders for easier alignment).
