On May 2 - 3, 2018, a workshop entitled"Plant nuclei in high resolution to whole root confocal microscopy: fast and sensitive imaging platform for all" will take place at the Institute of Experimental Botany - Centre for Structural and Functional Genomics of Plants in Olomouc. In cooperation with Andor, we will present our Dragonfly confocal microscope together with Andor SRRF Stream super-resolution technology.
Key features of Dragonfly:
-
High-speed confocal microscope: 100 fps at full resolution.
-
Laser widefield imaging with 2048 × 2048 pixel resolution
-
Integrated Borealis sample perfect illumination system
-
Complementary software with deconvolution - Fusion
-
Image analysis and 3D visualization software - Imaris Core
Key Features of SRRF Stream:
-
Use of conventional fluorophores (e.g. mCherry)
-
Resolution < 100nm depending on scanning and sample parameters
-
Low illumination intensities during excitation = low phototoxicity
-
Super-resolution scan rates of 1.7 - 3.4 frames per second (ROI) in demonstration (> 10 frames per second (ROI) in "high end" system configuration)
The workshop will begin with a free morning lecture and continue with hands-on workshops with the opportunity to shoot your own samples (hands-on/limited capacity - registration required).
