On 7 November - 9 November 2017, the Centre for Biosciences of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the Institute of Molecular Physiology and Genetics will host a workshop called"Andor Academy". Together with Andor and Bitplane, we will present revolutionary technologies in the field of confocal microscopy and image data analysis. It will include a theoretical part containing both technical and application-oriented scientific lectures and a practical part with the possibility to use your own samples for microscopy or your own data for analysis.
Theoretical part - Meeting Room 298 (Institute of Experimental Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences) 1st floor Medical Sciences Pavilion Block C
- Spinning Disk Microscopy Overview - Alexandr Pospech, Andor
- Mitochondria and Lysosomes Movement during Photodynamic Action in Living Cells - Veronika Huntošová, CIB
- Spinning Disk Microscopy of Plant Plasma Membrane Proteins - Jan Petrášek, UEB
- Photostimulation Overview and Technologies - Bruno Combettes, Andor
- From Individual Molecules to Complex Assemblies: Single Molecule Fluorescence in Membrane Studies - Marek Cebecauer, JHI
- Limits of Cameras - Marcin Barszczewski, Andor
- 3D/4D Data Visualisation and Analysis - Daniel Reisen, Bitplane
Practical part (hands-on) - Meeting Room 256 (Institute of Molecular Physiology and Genetics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences) 1st floor Medical Sciences Pavilion Block B
- Very fast and sensitive confocal microscope - Dragonfly
- Affordable and powerful confocal microscope - Revolution DSD2
- Excellent software for image data analysis - Imaris
