The Monaco 1300 from Coherent represents ultrafast laser models with 1300 nm output that are specifically designed for applications such as 3-photon imaging (3P) or multi-photon imaging. The lasers deliver an average power of 1.5 to 2.5 W, sub-50 fs pulses@1300 nm in MHz mode, and are thus optimized for excitation of fluorescent proteins such as GFP and GCaMP group substances.
The lasers can be complemented with a Total Power Control (TPC) module and a pulse compressor with dispersion precompensation. Access to the Monaco output at 1035 nm also allows the user to perform advanced 2-photon photostimulation and imaging applications, from a single compact excitation source.
