Mirao52-e

The Mirao52e, one of the products in the adaptive optics category developed by French company Imagine Optic, is a compact electromagnetic deformable mirror that combines its surface deformation capability and high optical quality with low power consumption and USB 2.0 connectivity. As the name suggests, the deformable mirror is capable of changing its form with extreme precision to the inverse of the distortion waveform.

Mirao 52e offers advanced wavefront correction features. The deformable mirrors are based on a continuous reflective surface moving by magnetic actuators. Mirao 52e uses electromagnetic energy to deform the mirror surface by up to ±50 µm (p/v tilt), outperforming commonly used mirrors in applications where wavefront correction is needed - microscopy, astronomy, retinal imaging, biomedical imaging, laser physics, etc. The Mirao 52e stands out not only for its excellent optical quality, high linearity (> 95%) and minimal hysteresis (< 2%), but also for its ability to work with almost any wavelength and beam intensity, and thanks to the connection to the workstation via USB 2.0, it offers better time stability and performance.

Another major enhancement to the Mirao 52e is a new Application Programming Interface (API) that has been developed to facilitate waveform correction. The API includes a complete collection of features that allow the user to quickly develop a variety of applications without having to rewrite driver libraries.
