Dual beam spectrophotometer

The client required a dual beam UV-VIS spectrophotometer with high spectral and photometric accuracy. The instrument had to have a wavelength range of at least 200-1100 nm and include a liquid sample holder in the cuvette. Control software had to be included.

For this assignment, we chose the DS5 spectrophotometer with a spectral range of 190 nm to 1100 nm (halogen bulb & deuterium lamp), a powerful optical system (Czerny-Turner dual beam monochromator), selectable bandwidth and control software. The fast acquisition of experimental data and ease of operation make the DS5 a very efficient instrument for absorption spectroscopy.
